Great Escape Motorcycling (the Company) want to make sure everything is crystal clear, so please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking your Tour. We’ve kept things fair and straightforward, so you know exactly what to expect.

Booking

To secure your spot, you'll need to pay a deposit per person when booking (the specific amount is listed for each Tour). You can pay by bank transfer — details are on the Booking Form.

Once we receive your completed Booking Form and deposit, we’ll send a confirmation email. By doing this, you’re confirming that you accept our Terms and Conditions. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, so we strongly recommend getting travel insurance right away to cover unexpected changes.

There are no minimum numbers of participants for any UK or European Tours to take place.

Paying the Balance

After booking, you’ll receive an email with your reservation details and your Tour Final Payment Date. The balance must be paid no later than 56 days before your trip. If we don’t receive your payment by then, your booking will be cancelled, and any money paid will be lost.

If you're booking within 56 days of departure, full payment is needed at the time of booking (unless we agree otherwise). Only fully paid-up participants can join the Tour. Once your payment is in, we’ll email you the full details of your trip.

Your Money is Protected

We follow the 1992 Package Travel Regulations, which means your money is safe. All payments are held in a trust account until your Tour is complete. This ensures protection in the unlikely event of insolvency.

Insurance

It’s a condition of booking that you have adequate vehicle, breakdown and recovery insurance covering you, your passenger, and your motorcycle, including repatriation. We also recommend medical and travel insurance (make sure your travel insurance covers you for riding a motorcycle over 125cc) to cover any cancellations, illnesses, or emergencies.

Remember, the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is no longer valid, so make sure you have suitable cover. The UK GHIC has replaced the existing European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).

Changes to Your Booking

Sometimes changes are unavoidable. If we have to make a major change to your Tour, we’ll let you know as soon as possible. You can choose to:

1.       Go ahead with the updated plan.

2.       Switch to an alternative Tour.

3.       Cancel and get a refund (subject to our cancellation fees).

If a change happens once the trip has started (due to circumstances beyond our control), we may need to alter routes or accommodation. If this happens, we’ll do our best to provide options of a similar standard.

If We Have to Cancel

We try to avoid cancellations, but if we must cancel your Tour before it begins, we’ll refund any money you’ve paid. If we need to cancel due to Force Majeure (e.g., war, natural disasters, pandemics), refunds won’t be possible. We’ll do our best to transfer your booking to a similar trip, but we highly recommend having travel insurance to cover such situations.

Delays

Delays can happen for various reasons (e.g., ferry issues, industrial action, pandemics). If delays occur, that result in your late arrival, we can’t be held responsible for any additional costs incurred prior to joining the Tour. You’ll need to cover your own meals and extra accommodation if needed.

Passports, Visas, etc.

Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months after your return date. If you or your passenger needs a visa, ETIAS etc. sort this out before the trip. If you’re unable to travel due to missing documents, normal cancellation charges apply.

(ETIAS is a travel authorisation that visa-exempt travellers will need to apply for before visiting the EU)

Your Responsibilities

  • You’re responsible for ensuring that your bike has all the necessary legally required documentation (and for bringing them with you).

  • You’re responsible for your bike’s condition and repairs.

  • You’re responsible for any passenger (pillion) travelling with you.

  • Accidents, injuries, or illness are your responsibility, not Great Escape Motorcycling

  • Make sure the Tour’s route and daily mileages suit your ability and stamina.

  • If you choose to leave the Ride Out early, no refunds, compensation or accommodation will be provided.

Leaving the Tour

We all want to enjoy our time together and reserve the right to ask you to leave the Tour, if in our opinion, your conduct, behaviour or riding, is anti-social or dangerous.

If you decide to leave the Tour early, we will not offer refunds or cover any additional costs.

Tours Prices

We try to keep our prices fixed, but sometimes things beyond our control (like government actions or currency changes) can lead to small increases.

  • We’ll absorb any increases under 5%.

  • If the increase is over 10%, you can cancel and get a full refund.

Cancellation Fees

If you need to cancel, here’s what applies:

  • More than 56 days before departure: Loss of deposit

  • 56 to 30 days: 50% of the Tour cost

  • Less than 30 days: 100% of the total Tour cost.

If you cancel because of missing vaccinations, vias etc., or just a change of mind, these charges still apply.

Cancellations must be made in writing via email to: info@greatescapemotorcycling.co.uk

We’re here to make your Tour an unforgettable experience, and we believe these terms help everything run smoothly. If you have any questions, just give us a shout!

Relax, we’ve got this!
